Asiuwhu Rewards Sport Houses At Uduophori Secondary School Athletics Competition

Today, Wednesday 4th of March, 2026, The Chairman of Delta State Taskforce on Environment, Olorogun Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu Jp, alongside some of his friends and political allies attended the 18th annual Inter-House Athletics Sports competition of Uduophori Secondary School, Uduophori in Patani Local Government Area of Delta State.
The well attended and colourful ceremony was chaired by Chief Asiuwhu.

Chief Asiuwhu in his opening remark, highlighted key critical roles of sporting activities to student’s education growth and development . As a veritable tool of enhancing physical health, mental well-being, and academic performance.

Also, he urged teachers to teach the students the appropriate sporting skills in order to achieve a balanced approach that will boosts cognitive function, concentration, and social skills, ultimately fostering better academic.

Besides, the Principal of the institution, Lady (Mrs) Laura Onoriode Olokor, in her welcome address, acknowledged God for all that He has done in making the day a reality , and as well, on behalf of the school management staffs and students; expressed their warmth appreciation for honoring their invitation.

Furthermore, she highlighted some pressing needs facing the institution that require urgent attention and the efforts they made so far in addressing some of the challenges.

Responding, Chief Asiuwhu commended her on behalf of the school management for their cooperation and achievements.

However, he highlighted the efforts of the government thus far and also assured them of government’s willingness and concern to the education of our children.
And promised to bring their request to government’s attention

Finally, he assisted them with a huge cash donation and cash gift to various competiting sport houses.
